Rain and track control became a challenge at Donington Park.

Second part of the British GT Championship took place at the former F1 track at Donington Park. Together Jordan and I qualified for P1 for both races at Sunday.

The nice qualification was not obvious from the beginning, as the track is not 100% optimal for the McLaren 720S GT4. But the pairing of Jordan and I made the strong qualification.

However the excitement was not done with the qualification, as the weather forecast threatened with rain and as race one began the rain was poring down. I thought the McLaren 720S would be great in rain, but the track control had issues, and this ended up costing us the a top result. I tried really hard to keep the competitors behind me, but ended up as P6.

In race 2 things went better. We made some changes in the setup, that gave us more grip and after one hour of racing we finished P3 – a good result after all.
